Four Square Writing
Helps Students Organize
Their Writing

Four Square Writing

To help get younger writers started, I like the Four Square Writing Method. This simple step-by-step approach is built around a graphic organizer that first shows students how to collect ideas and then helps them use those ideas to create clear and polished prose.

This is a wonderful help for taking the student from oral narration to organizing his thoughts on paper.

Levels are available for grades 1—9 and this method works well for writers of all abilites. Reproducible pages allow the books to be used over and over within your family and the books are very affordable.
